As the Office of International Programs, we are thrilled to invite our students to apply to our Summer Exchange Program for Summer 2024!

Summer Exchange will be a great way to make the most of your summer by participating in an exchange program at our selective Summer Exchange partners from all around the world! Enjoy the variety of our partners’ course offerings and cultural activities while exploring academic and networking opportunities at our partners.

 

First call of applications Summer Exchange Program will be open between the dates of 8/01/2024–8/02/2024.

Summer Exchange Partners & Participation

Please note that some of our partner universities have not made their final decision on mode of delivery (either face-to-face education or virtual education) for Summer Exchange. We are expecting some of our partners to make their decision and inform us in the upcoming months.

We advise you to check OIP website for more information on Summer Exchange partners’ course offerings and any administrative fees associated with their summer programs. It is also highly recommended for our students to check our partner universities’ websites for Summer Exchange regularly to follow any updates regarding the mode of delivery.

 

How to Apply?

You can apply online on KUAPP system. Incomplete or late applications will not be considered. You can list 6 universities for your preferences in your online application.

 

Application Documents:

You may find the required documents for the application below:

• Official Transcript: Please keep in mind that it takes a couple of days for Registrar’s Office to issue your transcript.

(Registrar’s Office can issue your transcript online and send it to you via e-mail. Please request your transcript on KUSIS and ask the Registrar’s Office to send you your transcript online. Please upload ALL PAGES of your transcript as one single PDF file.)

Students can also download their transcripts from e-Devlet and use that transcript in their applications.

• English Language Test Score:

Students will be able to apply for exchange programs with the following required language scores, even if the language scorecard is expired;

Koç TOEFL (TOEFL PBT): minimum 550- You may request the document from the Registrar’s Office

TOEFL IBT: minimum 80

IELTS: minimum 6.5

KUEPE: minimum 60 (Students who wish to apply using their KUEPE scores will need to take a screenshot of their KUSIS homepage, where KUEPE scores are shown. If students have any technical issues with screening their KUEPE results on their KUSIS homepage, they must contact the IT department to solve the issue. Students can also contact the Registrar’s Office and English Language Center to get their KUEPE results as well.)

In addition to this, Postgraduate students can apply for exchange programs using;

GRE Verbal reasoning: minimum 135

GMAT Verbal session: minimum 15

Application Requirements & Placement Criteria:

Summer Exchange programs are competitive. There may not be enough spots for all applicants and decisions are not made on a first come, first served basis. Applications are reviewed by the Exchange Programs Selection Committee and evaluation is done based on the following:

Your CGPA: %75

Your English Test Score: %25

Course Recognition:

It is mandatory to get approval from your faculty if you are planning to transfer the credits for courses and submit the copy of approved course equivalency form if you will transfer the courses.
