Designing for Leadership and Innovation Program in Ibiza
Koç University Office of International Programs' Global Learning and Leadership Program (GLLP) and Human Works Design call for motivated Koç University undergrads to join a unique immersive learning expedition in Ibiza Island, Spain between 25-31 August 2019.
Designing for Leadership and Innovation Program in Ibiza is focusing on developing eco-innovation culture, business model and prototype projects with the ecosystem of Ibiza, including students, experts and organizations in agriculture and tourism industries.
Students participating in the program will embark on a experiential learning journey where domains of design playing, social innovation and conscious leadership will intersect each other. They will learn Children First World design process, methods and tools by working on a project in a small team, with short periods of reflection on the theory behind contemporary service and business innovation methods. Students will experience several different co-creative styles including designing with children, and have the opportunity to practice their own facilitation skills. Confidential feedback sessions are offered around the playshop, giving participants the opportunity to receive input from the mentors on individual challenges from their work, project experience and group facilitation.
The program is built to develop capacity in innovative practices. Program participants will learn Futurism, Design Playing, Conscious Business Model Design Methods incuding Socratic Dialogues, Value Design, Value Meter, Personas, Stakeholder Mapping, Value Network Mapping, Customer Journey Mapping, Service Blueprinting, Service Prototyping, Investigative Rehearsal, Facilitation Skills, Creative Drama and Desktop Playthrough. During the program, the experienced team will coach you to lean into your own learning edge, to practice creativity, and expose you to a myriad of activities that will help you look inward at your own personal impact as a changemaker. We are all teachers and students in the expeditions and we learn by asking questions and experimenting at every turn.
The learning expeditions are created with the communities we have the opportunity to engage with and the days are filled with playshops, trips and on-location contributions.
Participants will receive a certificate of completion. There is no credit transfer available.
