Housing

General Information

• At Koç University Students' housing applications are processed by Dormitory Management, who is solely responsible for all matters pertaining to housing, including placement decisions.

• Prospective exchange students use an online application for on-campus housing through Koç University’s WEB site, using the username and password sent by Koç University’s Registrar's Office.

• Students are placed in the room types of their choice given their availability.

• After arriving on campus, if you want to make changes to your housing arrangements, you must do this during the orientation period.

• If you are staying on campus, you must pay your dorm fee and deposit by the end of the orientation period or the access card to your room will be disabled.

• You are eligible for a full refund of your payments, only if you withdraw from the dorms within the orientation period. (The number of nights before your withdrawal will be deducted from this refund, depending on the nightly fee of your room type.)

• If you check-out after the orientation period you will not get a refund for room fees.

• Dormitory Management refunds students’ deposits at the end of the exchange semester!  If you check out early, this deposit is refunded after the regularly scheduled checkout date!

• Note: We do not assist you finding off-campus housing.

Main Campus Facilities

• Double-occupancy, Single (only if you have proved special conditions) and Quadruple (also bunk bed) rooms are available.

• Wireless Internet access, cable-TV and phone-services are available in each room.

• Each dorm room has a refrigerator, bed, closet, desk, chair, bed stand, light, pillow and blanket.

• Students are recommended to bring their own towels, pillow cases and sheets.

• Weekly housekeeping services.

• Each building is equipped with a laundry room, a kitchen and a lounge with a TV and computers.

• Outdoor swimming-pool, sports center, indoor ice-skating, Students' Center (cafeterias, bank, hair-dresser, post-office, market, bookstore etc.)and parking garage

• Health center

West Campus Facilities

• All rooms are double-occupancy, without bathrooms.

• Wireless Internet access, cable-TV and phone-services are available in each room.

• Each dorm room has a refrigerator, bed, closet, desk, chair, bed stand, light, pillow and blanket.

• Students are recommended to bring their own towels, pillow cases and sheets.

• Each floor is equipped with 8 bathrooms and 8 showers

• Each building has its own laundry facility

• A bathroom designed for people with disabilities is available on the ground floor of each building

• Each building has a TV room on the ground floor, PCs and Printers on the 1st and 3rd floors

• There are no kitchen facilities on the West Campus—students are provided three meals a day in the cafeteria and also have access to a snack bar/fast-food stand and small market that are open 24/7

• Indoor swimming-pool, sports center, play-stations, darts, dance hall, pool tables, hair-dresser, post-office, storage room, and parking garage

• Health center

• A Library

• Weekly housekeeping services

• Regularly scheduled shuttles to and from main campus.
